Unprocessed staging tasks

Summary

If you have unstaged items, it simply means that your system is tracking changes, but you are not pushing them (staging them) to the next environment.

Having unstaged items in your system is not the end of the world, but it can cause issues if left unmanaged.

If you build up a lot of unstaged tasks, it can cause confusion and lead to accidents. By default, Kentico sorts the oldest items to the top. If you are not careful, you may accidentally stage a really old version of an object or page to the next environment.

Check Logic

Constant Care for Kentico will ensure the number of unprocessed staging tasks is no more than 0 (default)

You can manage your settings for this checkup in the Constant Care for Kentico admin settings.

Checkup Options

Days Back

Constant Care will look back through 90 days of staging tasks (default)

Resolution

If there are things you are never going to stage, you can turn off some staging settings in the Settings application.

Another thing to do is simply delete the old tasks that you are never going to stage.

Use Staging Groups to help keep track of the items you are going to stage (vs the ones you are not)
