Summary

Application Errors can be the result of a wide variety of issues on your site but should be reviewed and addressed quickly. They are often an indication that some part of the site is broken, like an incorrect whereclause on a webpart. Typically this indicates broken pages on your website.


Check Logic

Constant Care for Kentico will ensure the number of application errors is no more than 0 (default)

You can manage your settings for this checkup in the Constant Care for Kentico admin settings.

Constant Care will look back through 1 day of event logs (default)


Resolution

To review any application errors you can navigate to the Event Log application.

You can view Application Errors in more detail by clicking on the eye icon. Applications Errors should be reviewed in a timely manner and addressed appropriately. Ideally there should be no Unhandled Application Errors present on your site.

A common example of this is if there is an Exception of type 'System.Web.HttpUnhandledException' was thrown in your Kentico Event log that mentions Invalid SQL query in property "wherecondition". Typically this indicates a broken part of on a page of your website.
