Google sitemap URL

Summary

Pages without sitemaps are consistently ranked low in search engine scoring which results in few users finding your site through search engines.

A sitemap is a file where you provide information about the pages, videos, and other files on your site, and the relationships between them. Search engines like Google read this file to more intelligently crawl your site. A sitemap tells Google which pages and files you think are important in your site, and also provides valuable information about these files: for example, for pages, when the page was last updated, how often the page is changed, and any alternate language versions of a page.

Check Logic

Constant Care for Kentico will ensure the Google sitemap url setting has a value (default)

You can manage your settings for this checkup in the Constant Care for Kentico admin settings.

Resolution

To find your Google Sitemap URL you can navigate to the Settings Application and then find URLs and SEO settings.

From there you will want to find the Search engine optimization (SEO) section and verify that the Google sitemap URL setting is configured correctly. We highly recommend this be completed correctly.
