SSL certificate verification

severity-critical ssl-certificate-is-verified

In 2014 Google announced that HTTPS is a ranking signal for SEO. As the years have gone by, it has become even stronger. Having SSL enabled on your website is a must. SSL secures the communication between you and your customers, improves your SEO, and gives your site’s visitors the comfort that they are safe when browsing your website.

For various reasons, your SSL might get "turned off". This check will ensure your SSL is "always on". If it is not, you will be alerted.

Check Logic

Constant Care for Kentico will ensure the SSL certificate is valid/verified (default)

You can manage your settings for this checkup in the Constant Care for Kentico admin settings.

Go to your website's domain in a browser. Ensure the protocol is always HTTPS (not HTTP) and there is a "lock" icon in the address bar of the browser.

If your site is not secure (no SSL certificate), talk to your IT Team, they will know what to do.
