Custom tables missing a site

severity-low cms-class-custom-tables-not-associated-with-site

Summary

Can't find a custom table that was recently deployed/staged?

Kentico Xperience custom tables need a site association to work correctly. If a custom table is not associated to a site, content editors will not be able to manage the content in that custom table.

This situation can be caused by the content staging app inside of Kentico Xperience not always being used correctly to sync the custom table from a development environment to a production environment. content staging still works to create the custom table in the target environment but silently misses associating the object to the target site. This check looks for any instances of this issue and reports it.

Check Logic

Constant Care for Kentico will ensure the number of custom tables not associated with a site is no more than 0 (default)

You can manage your settings for this checkup in the Constant Care for Kentico admin settings.

Resolution

  1. Go to the Custom tables application
  2. Click "Edit" on the Custom Table in question
  3. Go to the "Sites" tab
  4. Review the sites (or "Add sites" if needed)
