Checkup Documentation

Execute local search tasks scheduled task

severity-medium cms-scheduledtask-search-taskexecutor

Summary

If you have Smart Search Indexes setup (Local/Lucene), you will want to ensure the Execute local search tasks Scheduled Task is enabled. This ensures search tasks are processed when content is updated.

Check Logic

Constant Care for Kentico will ensure the scheduled task is enabled (default)

You can manage your settings for this checkup in the Constant Care for Kentico admin settings.

Resolution

Go to the Scheduled Tasks application and ensure the Execute local search tasks task exists and is enabled. This should run at minimum once a day, but at least every hour is recommended. It really depends on how often you want your search index updated (based on how often your content changes).

Note: On older versions of Kentico, the task may be named "Execute search tasks".
